The Society is a non-profit organization based in Calgary, AB, Canada whose purposes are to:
- Provide a social venue for persons interested in Scottish cultural activities.
- Cultivate and foster an appreciation for Scottish cultural performance.
- Contribute to education in and performance of Scottish cultural activities.
- Assist members of the public and the Society who are in need.
- Provide bursaries or scholarships to deserving individuals.
- Facilitate the recording and preservation of the Scottish origin, contribution and character of Calgary and area.
